I made more than ₦1,500,000 million Naira in 2015/2016.

I used the money to fund my Higher National Diploma at the Federal College of Technology, Yaba, Lagos.

How was I able to make ₦1,500,000 million Naira in 2015/2016, as an Ordinary National Diploma certificate holder in Computer Science from Abia State Polytechnic?

I built an eCommerce website for a high paying client.

Yes, It was the first time I was able to make up to that amount from the same client and it was my first major eCommerce project.

Okearin eCommerce - Online Store Project. The product display page.

Everything you see on the image above was designed from scratch!

And I did it alone*.

How was I able to accomplish the design of a large eCommerce website single-handedly?

I was able to complete it single-handedly because I have been gathering the knowledge of web design and development since 2008.

I learned everything required to set up any kind of website.

Flashback to the days of WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get).

Microsoft Office Frontpage and Dreamweaver was the goto software for web designers and developers.

To design a website those days, you just open one of the software mentioned above and start importing content into a predefined layout. You would not need to write one single line of code.

WYSIWYG has advanced nowadays. There is artificial intelligence software that could just ask you questions and build you a website based on your answers.

After my school days in Abia State, I worked in a bank for one year as an industrial student.

At the time, the bank paid me around ₦31,000 Naira monthly.

I used part of the money to purchase a monthly data plan which I renewed every month.

The data was exhausted on sourcing for e-books, blogs, software tools, motivation, and people that could help me become better at building websites.

I found most of the resources I needed to advance my career in website design/development and programming.

There was one big problem!

I cannot read or practice web development while I was at work as a banker. It was against the rules to have your smartphone or laptop close to you while you worked in the bulk room.

Every night, I drag myself out of bed, read for one hour, and practice for one hour. This way, I am able to get enough sleep to face the next working day gracefully.

With time, I got used to this rhythm.

But it was not enough. I was knowledge-hungry and achievement thirsty.

After my one year in the bank, I had gained enough experience and wisdom...one of which is that you don't get rich by counting other people's money across the counter.

You make money from doing real businesses, providing services, and selling products.

I left the bank as a professional money counter (cashier).

What value was that to me in the labor market?

There are too many money counters in every state of the country and there is nothing special about being a money counter.

It is even too difficult to get a money counting job.

I could not go back to school immediately because of financial limitations, and I could not stay in the operations department of the bank, even if they doubled my salary.

There was a fire for personal development burning in my heart.

So I went back home to the village.

Everyone thought I was crazy.

Well, they are both right and wrong.

There is a thin line between crazy and genius.

I needed to find a way to sustain myself while I study all the eBooks I downloaded.

I needed to be able to access Google search at any time, and I also needed access to Stack Overflow, which I discovered earlier in my career.

So I took my Dads' truck out one morning. It is a Nissan Homer Light Truck.

I came back home that night with around ₦11,000 Naira. Pure profits from hauling goods and moving people who worked at a Lead mine within the community.

I expanded my services to delivering firewood to bakeries around town.

Every kobo that came into my pocket either went into buying fuel, paying for vehicle maintenance/repairs, the family expenses, and most importantly, my personal development project.

Armed with some money, I purchased a generator and continued where I left off with my web design/development and programming training.

You can read about: The Truckdriver's Wealth Mentality - a story of how I managed to develop myself within Nineteen ( 19 ) months while trying to keep my head above water as a light truck driver in a village with dirt roads and without electricity from the national power grid.

I read the best materials on HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP, MySQL, and Java.

After Nineteen ( 19 ) months, I became confident in my ability to deliver any web project.

And so the story goes...

Mr. Adekoya Olusola who has been my fathers' eye whenever I am in the west, lived in Mowe, at the time, proposed to me that I should try to come to Ogun State.

When I was ready, I placed a call to him and told him that I needed to come to Lagos to seek for a Job.

He invited me and within two months, I secured a job in Lagos.

As a web application developer, your roles span from talking directly with clients and delivering their ideas as web applications.

I did this job for eight months and resigned.

After resignation, armed with more experience and skills, I went into the market, with zero capital.

An opportunity came at the right time and I was ready.

The eCommerce project took about four-eight months to deliver. And I made more than ₦1,500,000 million Naira from it.

Why did it take that long to complete?

It was built on CakePHP a web application development framework that I was learning how to use at the time.

I wrote all the source codes from scratch.

HTML, CSS, JavaScript and PHP.

Since the eCommerce project was custom-built, I had to also do the database normalization on paper before creating any actual database file and tables.

I also trained the staff that would use the eCommerce system.

Now here is the beautiful part...

You can deliver eCommerce projects that are way larger than the one I delivered in 2015/2016.

There are alternative ways to set up an eCommerce website without going through all the hassles I went through in 2015.

I have greatly improved the process of quickly setting up eCommerce websites within very short time intervals.

I have worked with many clients to set up drop shipping websites, eCommerce Stores, Vendor based eCommerce websites, and all kinds of money-making websites.

You can apply for Adsense and blogging Course - a 1-week hands-on course that covers how to set up a blogging website, getting approval from Google Adsense, placing adverts, and tweaking the website for maximum profit.

You can do it in one week, or in 24hrs if you have all the day to yourself.

I organized a class with Career Guide Educational Institute, where you can learn this important skill quickly.

Hands-On Training is available for you if you want to build your own multi-million dollar skill quickly.

You can start earning a huge amount of money with this eCommerce Store Development Course - a no-nonsense course that takes you through the process of setting up an eCommerce store. Whether you want to set up an eCommerce store for your business or you want to set it up for your clients. The course should take a maximum of two weeks.

If you have any concerns or questions, you can contact me on any of these phone numbers: +234 (81) 39090556, or +234 (81) 56207123.

If you are not in a hurry, WhatsApp is also available somewhere on this website. I am only one click away.

Cheers!

I have been surfing on-line greater than 3 hours as of late, yet I never discovered any attention-grabbing article like yours. It is beautiful worth enough for me. Personally, if all web owners and bloggers made excellent content as you did, the internet will likely be a lot more helpful than ever before. Brittani Shayne Catha

Dusty, happy upcoming to her! She has quite a birthday, sharing it with Hall of Famers Ferguson Jenkins and Larry Doby, as well as Tyler Pastornicky, Mike Mordecai, and a perfectly average Boston Bean, Hank Majeski. Her best current birthdaymate is Gleyber Torres, so I congratulate you for her not liking him instead. Lind Khalil Ron
